Es Cendol: Ramadhan Diva

This sweet a bit salty drink is one of Indonesian's favorites during Ramadhan. To be honest, what can be more tempting than a glass of sweet drink with boba. tasty sweet from the brown sugar syrup, tasty thick coconut milk, and delicious boba made from rice flour. And the sweet scent of Pandan leaf is an extra bonus...





I do really have to make my own cendol, and always feel more satisfied and enjoy the homemade takjil (fasting appetizer) better. This rice flour made of cendol is way more tasty and savory anyway.


It was my intention indeed of looking for a cendol mold but got only spatulas. It's okay though, you just have to work with it. When you print the cendol, press the dough thoroughly and gently. The beautiful boba appeared and fall gently to the bowl full of iced water, just like teardrops... Well, I used this kind of primitive method using a scoop and a spatula with holes.
