Something very ordinary can be as important as the special one. And as I recall, it is also applied in culinary. In this following ordinary menu, boiled eggs stirred with sweet soybean sauce is a good example. It may save some fine dining moments for it is almost the most common dish suit to anyone.

No wonder the menu is quite popular for local occasions. For that very reason, this menu is one of my favorite. Many years ago this menu was the first cooking that I have to learn in my teenage age. No matter how successful you are as a lady, you will seem incomplete if you can't manage how to provide "endog kecap" on your dining table.
Recently, there is no stereotyping about cooking for a girl anymore, I guess. But even if so, I should whisper to my teenage daughter if she would find a similar test: use pala and lengkuas and your cooking will be just fine. Thank me later, haha.
