Two Veggies Salad

My copycat salad from Hoka Bento menu. This salad is the easiest yet most tasty salad ever.. Made only from different veggies and a simple dressing. Preserved and mixed with vinegar and honey. Dressed with tomato sauce and mayonnaise.

Mostly salad lovers also make it as a basic salad. We put this in the cooler and put another ingredient later: boiled eggs, steamed tuna, stir,-fried chicken, or smoked beef. In my previous post, I do combine this salad with Japanese-style chicken katsu. Just like another Hokben choice, you also can have a tasty menu with teriyaki using this salad.

The funny thing is, the carrot and cabbage combination in this salad is also a combination of the most popular gorengan in Indonesia: bakwan a.k.a bala bala. Actually we do all have very similar basic tastes, either you are a sophisticated chef in Tokyo's fine restaurant or my favorite abang-abang bakul gorengan.
